PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in Health Policy & Health Services Research, 2005-2009, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK. The thesis entitled ‘Implementing Family Medicine in Iran: Identification of Facilitators & Obstacles’, supervised by Prof. Nick Black. The study was a qualitative research that analysed the process of the implementation of family medicine & universal health insurance in the Iranian health system at three levels: national, regional, and local. This research used models of health policy analysis and theories of public policy implementation. Qualitative methods: semi-structured interviews, focus groups, observation and documentary analysis were used.

Lead researcher/Research Fellow: Evaluation of the Implementation and adoption of the NHS Care Record Services (NHS CRS) in Secondary Care in England. NHS CRS is the most ambitious IT-enabled healthcare reform currently being undertaken anywhere in the world. Our research is the first contemporaneous, longitudinal and sociotechnical evaluations of national EHR implementation ever undertaken. Grant of 1.750,000 British Pound (GBP).
